Book a slot and the material you're considering is standing up under daylight-balanced light when you arrive: full slabs, not a wall of 100 mm chips. Fifteen minutes here settles arguments that photographs never will.
The range sits on site in North Vancouver, not on a container somewhere. When a job pulls forward two weeks the material can move with it, and the piece you picked is the piece that leaves the building.
Colour shifts badly between showroom light and your kitchen at six in the evening, so we send you home with a real offcut rather than a postage-stamp chip. Live with it for a few days before you commit.
Crated, strapped and delivered to your fabricator, your tiler or your site anywhere in the Lower Mainland, and we book the date with them directly, so nobody is waiting on anybody.
Testimonials
“We wanted one slab to run up the backsplash and around the island, and Stone Trail found a book-matched pair that made it possible. They tagged both and held them until our shop was ready for them.”
“I specify a lot of porcelain and the hard part is knowing which faces a collection actually runs, and in which formats. These are the only people locally who will walk you through that properly instead of guessing, and it's why my floor tile and my counter finally match.”
“They sent me home with a proper offcut instead of a little sample chip, which completely changed which colour we went with. The floor tile, the bullnose and the trim all came from the same batch, so nothing had to be fudged on site.”
FAQ
Only supply. Stone Trail sources, stocks and sells the material. We don't cut, template, edge, fit, lay, seal or repair anything. We deliver it to whichever fabrication shop, tiler or contractor is doing your work.
Countertop slabs up to 1600×3200 mm in 12 and 20 mm; floor and wall tile from 12×24 inch upward; bullnose and step nosings; 20 mm outdoor pavers for terraces, roof decks and pool surrounds; and 3 to 6 mm panels for cladding over existing walls. All of it held on Welch Street.
Yes. Tell us the job and we'll point you at people in the Lower Mainland who work with large-format porcelain regularly. It's a different skill from cutting granite or laying 12×12s, and not every shop does much of it. We don't take a cut, so the recommendation is just a recommendation.
It depends on collection, thickness and format far more than on square footage. Mid-range porcelain sits close to mid-range quartz slab-for-slab. We'll quote the material precisely; your fabricator or installer quotes the labour separately.
Anything in stock can leave the same week, and most of the range is in stock, which is the point of holding it here. A special order from a mill is typically six to ten weeks door to door, and you'll get a real landing date rather than an optimistic one.
North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam and Surrey as standard, from Welch Street. We go further for larger orders. Ask and we'll be straight about whether the freight makes sense.
Yes. Viewings are booked so the material you came to see is out, standing up and properly lit when you arrive, and somebody is with you to answer for it. Mon–Fri 9 to 5 and Saturday 10 to 4.
Send your dimensions or a drawing and we'll shortlist what's worth coming in to see, usually within one business day.
